Renormalisation of the Nonperturbative Thermal Pressure
We show how the fully resummed thermal pressure is rendered ultraviolet finite by standard zero-temperature renormalisation. The analysis is developed in a 6-dimensional scalar model that mimics QED and has N flavours. The N → ∞ limit of the model can be calculated completely. At a critical temperature, one of the degrees of freedom has vanishing screening mass like the transverse gauge bosons ...
متن کاملNon-perturbative renormalisation with domain wall fermions
Domain wall fermions [2] are increasingly being used for many studies of physically interesting quantities. It is therefore important to have reliable values for the renormalisation coefficients of the operators needed in these calculations. Here we will discuss the application of the nonperturbative renormalisation technique of the RomeSouthampton group [1], the Regularisation Independant (RI)...

متن کاملNon-Perturbative Renormalisation and Kaon Physics
Due to the difficulty of putting the Standard Model on the lattice for technical (MW,Z >> 1 a ) and theoretical reasons (the presence of the Wilson term breaks the chiral gauge invariance) we must integrate analytically the heavy degrees of freedom (W ′ s, Z ′ s). Using second order Weak Interaction perturbation theory, we get for the effective low energy hamiltonian density of non-leptonic dec...
متن کاملNon-Perturbative Renormalisation using Domain Wall Fermions
The viability of the Non-Perturbative Renormalisation (NPR) method of the Rome/Southampton group is studied, for the first time, in the context of domain wall fermions. The procedure is used to extract the renormalisation coefficients of the various quark bilinears, as well as the four-fermion operators relevant to the ∆S = 2 effective Hamiltonian. The renormalisation of the ∆S = 1 Hamiltonian ...
